Artist's Comments

I was kinda sickened by how many people on devart will look at a picture, copy it (sometimes even trace it!), upload it, and call it their own work. Not that this is bad - copying someone else's work is the fastest way to learn their style, of course, but c'mon. Credit should be given where credit is due, or else keep it to yourself. Searching for the YYH boys yields very little original work, and that's very disappointing.

('course, I also found some really yummy original drawings of Kura-chan that were really really good too ^_^ like this one: [link])

Anyway... whining aside... this is Hiei. I kinda made this as a response to ~girlblue's insistance that no one could make lime green look good... and then ended up not using lime green. It's green, just not what I'd call lime green. Still, though... Hiei's a cute little bugger, ain't he? Ah, and yes, I'm not sure about the mixing of 'treatments' either - cel shading & um... regular... shading... but oh well. THEY ARE CUTE.

Q: Is there such a thing as a swashbuckling metafictional parody about pirates and break-dancing zombies?

A: Why, yes. It's called Derelict Heaven.
